Hello sir I was having this problem about installing windows 7 ultimate 64 bit from 32 bit, it said that I cannot run bootsect.exe while copying in Windows 7 USB/DVD tool. Do i have to download bootsect.exe for windows 7 installer or use CMD instead? I would be so glad if you can reply to this question. 🙂

The tool will only work for Windows 7 ISO but should be able to copy that ISO using XP.

You might try contacting Microsoft directly for a replacement.

what if i lost the DVD

Reply

you don't have to go through the process of downloading the ISO file if you already have the installation DVD, simply create the ISO from the DVD

Reply

@SuperPegasus7 Buy or download DVD making software.

Reply

what if you dont have roxio???

Reply

@hamdinassim Only Windows 7 (or later) ISO files are supported. You cannot use this for older ISO or non-Microsoft ISO files.

Reply

it's show me this message:"the selected files is not a valid iso file please select a valid iso file and try again" please help me??????!

Reply

@ArthurB99 The ISO is available on your OEM DVD or directly from the Microsoft Store.

Reply

What you use to create the ISO file and from where can I download it?

Reply

@navish2921 You might want to use "diskpart" through CMD to verify the properties. Try "detail disk" to verify that it is set up as a boot disk. Make sure you have selected the right disk when using diskpart.
